Welcome to Lighthouse 

A safe place for LGBTQ+ young adults experiencing housing instability. 

Lighthouse provides an abundance of support services for LGBTQ+ young adults experiencing housing instability. 

​

Lighthouse provides linkage to housing services, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, recovery support groups, education assistance, employment help, and housing assistance to LGBTQ+ young adults aged 18 and older.

Support Groups

Lighthouse holds virtual support groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm

OPEN HOURS

Currently, we are not offering Open Hours in order to comply with COVID-19 Regulations. 

​

Typically, our Open Hours are 2 pm - 4 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During our typical Open Hours, we have food, internet access, computers, activities, sexual health resources, and more available for you to use!

SHANNON

Shannon joined SIROW in the Spring of 2019. She serves as the Lighthouse Project's Project Coordinator, overseeing the project and supporting our resource center.

COURTNEY

Courtney is our evaluator, overseeing the Lighthouse Project's research component. Her work is mostly behind-the-scenes work related to human subject protections, data management, purchasing, and reports. She also supports the space when extra help is needed!

JACKSON

Joining SIROW in the Spring of 2019 as a Senior Instructional Specialist, Jackson coordinates project engagements, facilitates wellness and support groups, and provides housing support services to our program participants.

JULIE

Julie's been a Research Specialist for the Lighthouse Project since April 2019. In addition to data collection, Julie facilitates a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse support group. She also assists with the day-to-day programming for our participants!

JERI

Jeri Alexander has contributed to SIROW's mission of improving the lives of underserved communities through research and action projects for the past 20 years. She has worked on numerous projects, and her most recent ones include a trauma-informed care program, as well as an HIV prevention program for youth.
